Re: MC interviews on dnbforum.nl
Like what i'm reading, respect!
I don't want to start the 'i like or dislike mc's' nor 'what is a good or bad mc', but point something out that bothers me a lot very often when an mc plugs his/her mic:
1. the FOH-sound (and monitoring for that matter) must be balanced & eq-ed, putting the vocals
in the music and not over/on top --> why not compress it and use a little reverb to blend it in?
(Mc's who take themselves seriously as artists/performers could invest in some gear (besides a good mic), no?)
2. there should be enough
headroom for the mc and music at the same time --> very often the mc's shouting will trigger the limiters (even more) because everything's already in the red (Dj's / promotors, please check your levels with the mc AND the music)
A lot of the times sound quality is allready not all that good, so when introducing the live element of the vocal it should be done with care or it will ruin your set/vibe/party ... that's my humble opinion

If the soundconditions are good, a good mc on a good set is 'da bomb'!
That said, i expect a lot from ltj & conrad!
