Not the mic & not the headphones, yeah the mic works but when you talk you will hear your voice... There should be a Line IN you put your cable in there. Then you chose above in audacity line in & that should be it...

did you find that out all by yourself??

Most of the computers have 2 Line In's, one in the front and one behind, did you tried both if your pc has both inputs?

he's trying it on a laptop

weird tho, a laptop should have a line-in

no, not every laptop has a line in, those aldi thingies don't have them

yeah but they should ;)

had some other problems with audacity: it sometimes suddenly skipped to mic channel for no reason

Jah who knows :teeth:

This should be in your options when you are putting your soundcard on recording. Then adjust these setting like this & with the same soundcard etc in audacity.

I have a laptop with no soundcard, what you do is as follows:

1 take a minijack/cinchcable

2 connect the cinch side to yoour mixer on an output with adjustable volume (booth or so)

3 connect the jack in to your mic in on the laptop

4 things will sound saturated, so adjust the mic in lavel on your laptop

5 things will still sound saturated, adjust the output volume on your mixer

6 record the shizzle (test record a bit, and look at your waveform to see if it is saturated

7 record your mix

8 export it as wav or mp3

ps: you can talk while recording

Nothing special about this, it just doesn't seem to work here, waves always go red and sound distorted
