Post energy XT2 : help please!

atm i'm trying to use energy XT2 from berhinger (because it looks like a decent alternative to fruity on linux, but it works on windows too). the thing is that i cant get any sound from the soft...the cursor doesnt even move when i hit the "playback" button. when i click on a synth or anything, nothing reaches my loudspeakers...

so , if someone could help, by either telling me what i have to do, either by installing the demo (very light download) to see if it makes noise, it would be really appreciated!

If you're using it on linux, be sure to get a jack enabled libaam.so
There's precompiled versions floating around for jad and ubuntu 8.04 (on jacklab.net) and the C++ source files, with compilation instructions can be found on http://www.energy-xt.com/download/jack.php it's easy

(offcourse also get jack server and jackctl using whatever method your distribution uses to get software on your computer)

it can work without jack as well, but it's a lot more tricky and sluggish
