sx2 is a huge improvement but there are still a lot of bugs that need to be adressed eg all the houston users are still left in the dark

If you dont believe me just read up on the official forums, most of the ppl there agree that sx2 is a start in the good direction but it still isn't finished yet

I wonder how many ppl would liked sx when it had all the flaws that it had over the last year and when it didn't say steinberg on the side of the box

There is also an SL edition available for 420 euro.

You can find the differences between the two versions on the steinberg website. SL probably wil also get a 2.0 update in time

well I like to focus on things a sequencer does and not things it's supposed to do and doesn't ...

I've worked with three big names till now on the sequencer side
(and i don't mean tryed them out , really worked with them, made music !)

cubase
logic
and cakewalk

and cubase has in my eyes huge advantages over the other
since SX has been around my opinion only got stronger ...

yet again all this is matter of taste I guess

before anyone thinks of me as the anti steinberg troll :P

I aint saying that sx or steinberg is totaly evil, but what i'm saying is when u go pick out your main sequencer. Try a demo of it, see if its fit you, go over and read the userforums to see if there are any problems and to see how the software company reacts to these problems. Don't jump on a piece of software cause others use it a lot or cause the company that made is well known try it out for yourself and that it fits your needs.

I agree what sequencer you use defo is a personal choice for everyone.

I also have to agree that sx2 still is a major improvement over sx1.

And in the end they're just tools anyway and everybody had its own favorite brand of tools
