Post Can somebody help me out ??
My problem:

i made a mixtape and taped it with a mini disc. To convert the mini disc casette into mp3 or wave, i have been using Soundforge, Nero Wave Editor, ... In the beginning the sound volume always is ok, but after 6-7 minutes the volume goes very quiet for 2-3 minutes, then the volume is normal again and so it goes on, again and again :(

First i thought the problem was the mini disc, so i recorded it directly with my laptop (also using Soundforge, Nero Wave Editor,...) but still the same problem.
Then i tried it on other computers with different operating systems (xp, win me): no difference, still the same problem

The strange thing is when i match the mini disc to the amplifier of my stereo, and i let the mini disc play (aux), the volume is always perfect and never goes down :?

Could it be the reason is that i have un unregistered version of win xp??
Could it be the problem is my mixer ?

Is there somebody who had this problem too ??

Please help me out, i become crazy of this shit :!:

i can convert it with advanced mp3, wma recorder. Its easy, press play and record. Never tried it with soundforge, cause it will record in wav first, and that takes a lot of space (4G harddisk out here :D ). With this, it records directly in mp3 format, and never had any problems with volume etc. Just bring it to the next party, and i'll convert it if you want.

Don't know what the problem is with what your trying though...could be lots of things.

What soundcard do you have, which input do you use, ...? in case u have a digital input on your pc, try using that one. I mostly use wavelab, haven't had any problems with it.
