Post help for recording a set
it's about time that I put a mix from myself online :P , but the problem is that my laptop only has a micro input and i've nothing else to record.
So what should I buy to be able to record a set ( as cheap as possible but still good quality)

Well, i also had some problems with that in the beginning.

normaly you have to go to configuration screen click on the sound button, and then in that menu there's also a button with recording on it, and then click on front line in.

then you also have to change your settings at the recording programme to front line in. I have audacity and it worked.

Hope it works mate ???

:D yo

On my my girlfriends laptop i had same problem. I reinstalled the sound-system.

Then I could choose with that program which input i used for line-in.
For example :: the pink Microphone-Input, could be used for line-in from your mixer.

Try googling, found a lot of info for that kinda stuff on many dutch/english forums there.

Than this should do the trick, no?

Download free recording software like Audiocity, and you're normally able to record a mix.

If you want good sound quality, and your willing to pay a price (50 euro), you can consider the creative "SoundBlaster Connect". It's just a little outboard soundcard which you connect through USB, and offering you RCA ("Cinch"), Line and optical inputs. Got this myself, and does the trick perfect (I also use it to sample sounds from synths enal)

Just Audacity and one cable will do the trick, nothing more.

If you really wanna get advanced then you've got nice high techstuff but there's not much difference (maybe a bit softer and cleaner).
